The 2501st Digital Liaison Detachment bid farewell to Lt. Col. Marc Chung and welcomed Lt. Col. Mark Breugum during a change of command ceremony at Camp Yongin, South Korea, May 5.

The ceremony was presided over by Major General Shane Buzza, Eighth Army’s wartime Chief of Staff, with 2501st DLD and ROK Army Soldiers attending the ceremony. The change of command took place in the gymnasium of Camp Yongin.

Breugem assumed command after serving as executive officer to the Eighth Army Chief of War Staff at Camp Yongin.

The 2501st DLD deploys in support of the Republic of Korea First (Wonju) and Third (Yongin) Armies and ROK Land Component Command to provide a continuous liaison capability between Eighth Army and Headquarters of the ROK army. This function enables mission command and unity of effort through coordination, information exchange and integration of combat capabilities.
