Major General Dr. Mubarak Saeed Ghafan Al Jabri, Assistant Undersecretary for Support and Defense Industries in the UAE Ministry of Defense, met with Major General Kamal Wafaa Radwan, Head of the Armaments Authority from the Egyptian Ministry of Defence, to discuss new opportunities to strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields, including defense industries.
The meeting took place during Al Jabri’s visit to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, according to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, Friday.
The meeting was marked by the discussion of “new opportunities to strengthen the overall relations between the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, particularly in the defense industries and the promotion of partnerships between the Emirati and Egyptian defense companies”.

The two sides also exchanged “relevant expertise and discussed mutual cooperation in defense industries, as well as resolutions, legislations and mechanisms to facilitate business between defense industry enterprises of the two countries and to integrate their research and development”.
During his visit, Al Jabri also met Major General Mokhtar Abdel Latif, head of the Arab Industrialization Organization, and invited him to the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) 2023 and the Naval Defense Exhibition and Conference (NAVDEX) 2023, in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting discussed the future of the defense industries in the two countries, as well as the framework on which they will focus in the coming period, particularly with regard to “entrepreneurship, advanced technologies, the fourth industrial revolution , the training of citizen executives, strategic partnerships with major international producers and support for research and development.”
On September 26, Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defense Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, held a discussion session with the Egyptian Minister of Defense, Colonel General Mohamed Zaki during his recent visit to Abu Dhabi.
