US Commander Praises Pakistani Army’s Efforts in War on Terror


US Centcom Commander, General Michael Erik Kurilla, accompanied by a delegation, visited the Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and held a one-on-one meeting with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa, according to a statement issued by the army. said Thursday.

According to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), issues of mutual concern, regional security situation and stability, defense and security cooperation, especially military-to-military ties, were discussed at the meeting. . ISPR said the Pakistani military’s counter-terrorism efforts and significant contributions to regional peace and stability were discussed at the meeting. The military training exchange program between Pakistan and the United States was also discussed, he added.

The visiting dignitary acknowledged the Pakistani military’s commendable efforts in the fight against terrorism, counter-terrorism experiences and efforts for regional peace and stability.

Later, the delegation also visited the Army Museum and took an interest in the various historical enclosures.
